  2. I participated in the 37th Legislative District caucus this past Saturday at Cleveland High school. It was a great, yet humbling experience. A day of individual campaigning, learning party process and rules, guest speakers (like Rep. Jim McDermott) and grassroots democracy at work. I made the decision to stay through the entire process, which lasted some 13 plus hours. At around 10:30pm, the official tally was announced and I found myself picked to be one of the 37 delegates moving forward as state delegate…a humbling experience indeed. Looking forward to the county and state conventions…and the possibility of attending the Democratic National Convention as “unwavering” Obama delegate in August. Hope over cynicism and fear!

  3. I agree with Mr. Brown. This was my second L.D. Caucus (my first being 2004 when I was a delegate to the 38th for Howard Dean). While I was in the minority even more so this time around, I had an excellent time sharing ideas and debating with both Hillary and Barack supporters, alike!

This time, however, I was entrusted by my fellow Clinton backers to continue to the C.D. Caucus, and am hoping to take it all the way to Denver!
